Most importantly – even if it's just the Junior Cert - if you can, don’t start too late to prepare for your Exam. If you really want to do the Leaving Cert down the road it is important to start early with a good learning process, because if you want to have a successful Junior and Leaving Cert you need enough time to prepare properly for it. It also helps to understand that language skills depend on consistency.
So starting a few weeks before an exam might not be the ideal way to deal with things, because in such a short time period you won't learn or understand it - you just patch up things and like a plaster it will go away after a while. But if you also just want to patch things up we can do that as well, maybe after a quick fix you see how much fun German actually can be and you want to do more than just patching things up.
If you can then try and start early to avoid putting you under pressure. Because learning German can be a lot of fun. I show you easy and fun ways of how to learn vocabulary, because words are simply the foundation of every language.
So even for the Junior Cert, where you’re supposed to learn the basics, it might be a good idea to study outside of school to really get your basics right. Because like with everything in life, if we don’t get the foundation right whatever we’ll build on it, won’t stay in place – what I am trying to say: If you don’t get the basics of grammar then you will struggle when it comes to using the language.
With heart and soulI tried to develop opportunities that everyone has the opportunity to learn this beautiful language. There are small group courses and classical one-on-one classes to pick. If you have classmates that want to work on their German as well then we can also try and get a group course going with your friends. But in the end, it's you that decides what's best.
I can only promise you that I am there with all the passion that I have for the language (which is not little) and I will give my best and beyond to bring you forward and show you that learning a language can turn into a great experience.
